Camshaft Drive Belt

THE BELT CHANGE RECOMMENDATION FOR THE TDV6 ENGINE IS 105,000 MILES OR 7 YEARS
There is a main camshaft belt at the front of the engine driving between the crankshaft and two Camshafts and a belt at the rear of the engine between one camshaft and the High Pressure Fuel Pump. The camshafts are synchronised by two chains, these are not on a normal service schedule.
The 2007 & 2008 Model years had a different oil pump casing which is prone to fracturing near one of the idler wheel mountings after belt replacement (and sometimes before), this can result in complete engine replacement, so it is recommended you upgrade this item at the same time for the later modified casing.
Dayco had the OEM supply for the belts so we list those along with some high quality alternatives that also supply many vehicle manufacturers with original equipment.
Always replace idler wheels and tensioners when changing the belts, there are modified bolts for each tensioner as well that should be changed.
